I have the X5s, and love it to bits now I have printed a number of fixes and tweaks. I come from a diabond Mendel90 (awesome machine) and a 3DR delta. Bad points I bought the X5s, there is now a X5sa (or something like that with a touchscreen, filament run out monitor, etc...) The frame needs stiffening It needs a new hotend (I went with the obvious E3d v6) The belts need realigning via a printeby twisted - CoreXY Machines
I had a slight issue with my printer, so just waiting for a replacement part, then looking forward to trying it.by twisted - For Sale
Looks good, but I agree any affiliation or relationship to a company/shop should be stated in a users signature. That way there is no hidden promoting etc... nothing better than to be completely open especially in a forum where many product recommendations could have hidden motives.by twisted - Administration, Announcements, Policy
I had a similar problem to IMG_1024.jpg, and after tearing my hair out for weeks, it turned out that just making my fan run at full speed constantly whilst using PLA (apart from the first 2-3 layers) solved it for me. I'm not saying its the same, but might be worth a try.by twisted - Printing
I had that from an ebay seller too, I spoke to them and supposedly it was a bad batch of ABS (mine was I think natural) which is now sorted. I had some of their PLA and that was fine. They are supposedly sending out some replacement for me, should have it soon fingers crossed. Scrape your's with a knife, by any chance does it look like it has a coating of something like cling film on it?by twisted - General
Looking good, just need to find something worthwhile to contribute.by twisted - General
I created an account, edited a page, browsed multiple areas and all good, apart from the same as above but with just a blank page. Maybe I'm not trying the right thing, but I don't think I get the images issue as Sublime is getting. Win8, Chrome 30. Anything else we can do?by twisted - General
I've always wanted to sort that but never got round to looking. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's head starts to hurt when I keep hitting the wrong sector to move the bed. Thank you very much for working that out.by twisted - Mendel90
IIRC you need to install an extra plugin that allows you to then export as stl.by twisted - General
You star, that's perfect thank you. I missed that when searching sorry.by twisted - Mendel90
I succumbed and bought an E3D, as I'm sure many of you have already go one or similar, what route did you take for wiring up the permanent fan? I really like the standard neat wiring and hope to keep it that way, so some direction would be appreciated. PS. What's the PP connection for on the extruder connection PCB?by twisted - Mendel90
Awesome work, bookmarked as if I ever finish the projects I'm already doing I'd love something like that. Top notch work. Something to be really proud of.by twisted - Look what I made!
I have to agree, but the forum software needs migrating to something a little more modern ASAP, with a few more community focused features. For example, although many disagree with the developers, I would love the forum to support tapatalk then I could happily continue to use the site on the move. An integrated wiki would be great then at least it could be opened up to users who have say 20+ posby twisted - General
If this is the same one sold in the UK by RS components and Maplin, personally I think you would be much better off building your own or buying a kit from one of the many reliable community suppliers. I bought a mendel90, and have yet to see anything come close to the quality of kit and support given. But I have never used one of these, so I'm happy to be proved wrong.by twisted - General
Its quite funny you posted about this as I have just received my hyena bolt and the cuts look identical. Yes I had a few similar concerns and contacted the supplier. TBH I was more than happy with the response. Basically I was told that that is normal to look like that and it will work fully, as intended, so I wouldn't be too worried. I now can't wait to get it installed as see how I get on.by twisted - Reprappers
Hi, it depends on the your machine, I made up 11 plates and If I remember correctly I did it over 7 evenings and a weekend.by twisted - Delta Machines
The normal place seems to be out of stock, and tbh postage and possible tax is quite annoying (only because import duty, and my location, UK). But anyway has anyone got one they need to get rid of, or can suggest somewhere reasonably priced? Thanksby twisted - Wanted
So all bits have arrived, and only a couple of parts left to print (top & bottom hub). My F5 button is really starting to look heavily worn now, can't wait for Part 2-5 as everything is nearly ready to go and I'm getting a little too excited about my no.2 machine.by twisted - Delta Machines
@evamvid I imagine the best place to find them is any RC heli shop, as linkages just like that are used on pretty much all heli's. I found some on ebay but way overpriced, so bought some trex heli ones which were much cheaper. Hopefully they might work, but won't know until they turn up.by twisted - Delta Machines
I always get an issue with sizing using sketch, and as yet not sure how to solve it. But I do have a work around. Once complete open the item in netfab studio (free version). Measure a known length, and use the following webpage to easily find out how much the object needs to be scaled by. Pump that value into netfab scale option, then export and you are all ready to go. h t t p://makemycalcuby twisted - General
I believe I had this same issue, if you leave it to continue printing the item will finish fine, but the bottom surface is ruined (in my case). I thought I had calibrated my machine perfectly, but I ran though it again just because I had exhausted all other options. Anyway going through the calibration again sorted it, I think the amount of filament being extruded had changed significantly sincby twisted - Reprappers
I tried the spiral option for my first ever vase print and as far as I can tell it looks pretty good. Layer 0.25mm sorry for the poor picture, phone is the only option atm.by twisted - Slic3r
Just in case you didn't notice..... Hopefully I'll get to play with it in the morning.by twisted - Slic3r
If I have it right, (I'm trying to remember what mine looks like) there are a lot on ebay. For example one I found. Item number:110808694625 Or search for "Mini USB SMT PCB Socket"by twisted - Controllers
I could be very wrong, but it might be worth running it through netfabb's online repair tool first and see if that fixes it. Any issues I have with bad slicing I always try this first as it is a very quick and easy test.by twisted - Repetier
I've been starting to get this problem too, but it only happens when I set my layer height to 0.2mm or less, at 0.3mm all seems to work fine. Still no idea how to fix so staying a 0.3mm for the moment,by twisted - Printing
He's definitely about as I've seen some recent posts, and by the sounds of it, he's been shifting kits constantly. I can imagine he's very very busy. I would recommend emailing him but as with anyone in demand it could take a little while to get an answer.by twisted - Wanted
I can't comment on any other printer as I only have ever had one, which was nophead's Mendel90. I can't praise nophead and the printer highly enough. It's priced very well, comes with everything you need labeled perfectly, with clear concise instructions. I was completely new to 3D printing and was worried about being dropped in the deep end, but starting with a kit like nophead's, meant I starteby twisted - Wanted
@3ddude OMG! Got enough filament? You planning to build a house with it (its only because I'm jealous) I 2nd the daichiasuka v2 on thingiverse, it works really well with all the spools I have.by twisted - Mendel90
